RISDA College began operating as a GROUP TRAINING INSTITUTE RISDA training activities , technical and management since 1973 . In the early 80s, the college is known as RISDA Training Institute ( ILR ) which courses to RISDA staff , outside agencies and smallholders conducted .

In 1999 the management of the Training Institute was taken over by the College RISDA , a corporate body established in 1994 under the Companies Act 1965 and is headquartered in Km 7 , Jalan Ampang , 50450 Kuala Lumpur . College RISDA (KRIS ) has 4 branches of RISDA College Malacca , Perak , Kelantan and Pahang .

Beginning in 2008, the College RISDA only focus on the Academic Skills program at the College of Malacca. College Campus RISDA operating in Alor registered as a private higher learning institution under the Private Higher Educational Institute , 1996.

RISDA College is also registered as a contractor with the Ministry of Finance Malaysia for services and supplies related to the course , including the provision of accommodation and food

Now, Melaka RISDA College campus has an area of ​​140 acres equipped with education and training center infrastructure , including dormitories, recreational areas and farms in the Greater conducive to learning , recreation, and worship for pupils / students at any one time .

Menyedari betapa pentingnya sektor pertanian untuk pembangunan negara yang merupakan niche Kolej RISDA, maka kolej menjalankan program Diploma Pertanian (UPM), Diploma Pengurusan Landskap serta Diploma Pengurusan Ladang (UiTM) dan Pra-Diploma Sains (UiTM) untuk memberi peluang kepada sesiapa yang berminat bagi melanjutkan pengajian di bidang pertanian selaras dengan kehendak pasaran kerjaya di masa kini.

Semua pelajar diploma yang mengikuti pengajian di Kolej RISDA akan diuruskan untuk mendapat pembiayaan dan penajaan daripada Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) dan MARA. Selain itu, RISDA juga memperuntukkan skim biasiswa sebanyak RM 2.4 juta bagi membiayai pengajian generasi kedua pekebun kecil melanjutkan pelajaran di Kolej RISDA.

All diploma students studying at the College RISDA managed to get the funding and sponsorship of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation ( PTPTN ) and Mara . Moreover, RISDA also provides scholarships of RM 2.4 million to sponsor the second generation of small farmers went to the College RISDA .
